Hey, I'm Katie - stylist, podcaster, mom, and lipstick lover. I'm on a mission to help women everywhere find their own unstoppable style.
Did you know that your clothes can shape your reality?
⚡️⚡️⚡️
Yes, it is true. Clothes are our second skin. We take them with us everywhere we go. The right outfit can help you be more present, calmer, more powerful, or even more focused.
So, today on the podcast I chat with outdoor women’s clothing designer, Alisa Otto. She takes us through her journey in getting her master’s in Fashion Design, teaching these principles for years to upcoming designers, and the pain point that finally pushed her to start her own clothing company while pregnant.
We dive deep into Fashion Psychology and how it really shapes our world. If you like going down rabbit holes and challenging your thoughts then I promise you will learn something new and never see fashion trends the same way again.
Also, if this Fashion thing doesn’t work out for us two we are starting a comedy troupe, so tune in for some laughs as well. 😉
In this episode we discuss;
⚡️Why community matters for women
⚡️How clothes shape your perception of reality
⚡Learn the psychology behind current styles
⚡️How historians use fashion to date photos
⚡️+ why it is so important to have inclusivity in the fashion industry
Alisa Otto is the owner of Ottomatic Threads, an outdoor clothing company made for women, by women. They are committed to helping give underrepresented bodies a voice in the outdoors. Women have been ignored in the outdoor industry for too long and their goal is to make outdoor apparel for all by offering all styles in sizes XS-6X.
